As our Electrical Technician you will be responsible for maximising availability of plant equipment in a 24/7 industrial manufacturing environment. This is achieved through safe and effective preventative and reactive maintenance on all operational assets.
What you’ll be doing…
Equipment Efficiencies - To maintain the plant by performing planned preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and efficient response to plant breakdowns.
Safety & Compliance - Comply with the Company’s Health & Safety and Environmental Policy and Procedures so that a safe and secure environment is maintained.
Continuous Improvement - Active engagement in plant CI activities.

If you have any of the following – this would be an added advantage:
Technical Skills
- Capable of obtaining information from electrical drawings of various standards
- Fully conversant with motor starters and control system
- Good understanding of motor variable speed technology (preferably ABB)
- Understanding of relay logic systems
- Understanding of Siemens S7 PLC systems: Including a good understanding of hardware I/O and also preferably a basic understanding of programming & troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, AS-I, Ethernet, Fibreoptic)
- Familiarity with instrumentation & weight control
- Capable of taking on project tasks and seeing them through from conception to implementation
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferable
- Clear understanding of electrical and process safety standards (e.g. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, PUWER regulations)
- Understanding of the principles of the HASWA and associated regulations
- Awareness of the principles of Environment Agency / Natural Resources Wales requirements
