As one of our Senior Technical Advisors, you will support the strategic aims of the business and deliver technical services to internal departments and external customers, by phone and email. Technical services range from advice on all KINE products, applications, their certification and compliance with building regulations and include calculations for thermal transmittance and condensation risk where necessary.
What you’ll be doing…
- Make full contribution to servicing all enquiries in a professional customer focused manner whilst ensuring that internal and external customers are provided with technical services that promote the compliant use of Knauf Insulation products and systems.
- Provide accurate and appropriate technical advice and support across all areas of activity and actively contribute to maintaining and developing a reputation for high quality advice and service within the Technical Services Team (TST).
- Provide Technical advice on all KINE products, applications their certification and compliance with building regulations and include calculations for thermal transmittance and condensation risk where necessary.
- Actively engage in self-learning and continually develop expertise across the application and product areas to complement the skills and knowledge within the team.
- Attend industry CPDs where required to keep abreast of regulation and changes to wider industry.
- Deliver training materials to the direct team or to other departments or external customers as directed.
- Assist the marketing department to develop focused technical marketing collateral that enhances the customer experience.
- Fully engage with, relevant CI activities and programs. Live and uphold the company values and behaviours as a senior member of the team.

What we’d love for you to have:

If you have any of the following – this would be an added advantage:
- Experience of working within the construction industry and ideally in both the domestic and commercial sectors
- Working knowledge of U Values and condensation analysis.
- Knowledge of the insulation industry and insulation types
- Knowledge of NHBC, LABC and Premier Standards.
- Working knowledge of RdSAP and SAP.
- In depth knowledge of construction and the construction industry
- Knowledge of building regulations, approved documents and British standards.
- Ability to communicate across functions and with senior leadership in an effective way.
- Ability to communicate detailed messages in a clear and coherent way.
- Working knowledge of thermal bridging calculations (PSI values)
- An understanding or experience of Continuous Improvement and its main principles
- Degree or post graduate qualification in related technical subject
- An inclusive attitude and professional communication style
